Our Story
Laura O' Mahony came up with the idea for HAPPY IN YOUR NAPPY after the birth of her first baby in 2009. Laura had been given a Nappy Cake as a gift from a family friend and then went on to make a Nappy Cake as a gift for her cousin. With a newborn of her own, Laura knew nappies would make the perfect and practical gift and so created a unique Nappy Cake filled with lots of practical necessities for the new parents.
The reacation Laura recieved from her cousin and the entire hospital ward was phenomenal. "The Nappy Cake was mistaken as an actual cake and everyone on the ward came to examine it. Word spread about the Nappy Cake and I began getting phone calls requesting orders. The idea was then born to set up Happy in your Nappy.” Laura said. Laura wanted to offer gifts for baby and mums that were a little bit different and special - and her nappy cakes and indulgence cakes certinaly achieve this.
