Buyers beware of Fonez.ie. I bought a Grade A Pre-Owner iPhone 8 this week-end. A few things went wrong: 1) The phone arrived with no accessories other than the charging cable and in a plain non-Apple box. Since the phone was bought for about 85% of the retail price (in a used condition as well), the value of the accessories would have been roughly equal to the difference. Also the lack of an official box will make it very hard to sell the phone when the time comes. At no point was I informed that the phone will come like this; this information is not visible anywhere on the website (including the Grading System page and the product page). 2) After purchasing and paying for the product it was scheduled for delivery. Since I wanted to add a case for the phone to the order, the only option I was given was to pay for shipping again. I spoke with a representative over the phone and they suggested e-mailing them photos of my ID front+back AND my credit card front+back. This is absolutely unacceptable from a data security standpoint and was the only option I was offered (save for paying for shipping again). 3) I was informed that the phone will be dispatched on Monday at 3pm from the Galway warehouse; the phone arrived later than expected due to it actually being sent from Cork a day after. Apple headphones and the Jack adapter cost roughly what the difference between my phone and a brand new one would be on most stores anyway; and not being to sell the phone in the original box a few years down the line will make its value a lot lower.

Got an iPhone5s here today. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and never pressured me into buying. My phone is up and running now, very happy with it! Would highly recommend

I cannot recommend Fonez enough to people. I let my Samsung S4 fall and brought it in Fonez to be repaired. I though I had just broke the screen but it turned there was internal damage as well. With an hour my phone was fully repaired and back working. Gabriel and his staff were very helpful. I didn't have anything backed up so the staff showed me how to back up all my information and were so helpful with any other queries I had. There is a huge selection of covers to choose from so my phone is now protected. From losing my phone to having it fully back working back within the hour i can't thank them enough. Will definitely be recommending Fonez to everyone

I would not recommend Fonez to anybody! I have never witnessed such disrespect from sales assistants in my life other than what I experienced in Fonez. I do not mean to sound dramatic but I would honestly advise you to avoid Fonez at all costs. Their prices are extortionate. Their staff are pushy, unhelpful and desperate for a quick pricey sale but totally unwilling to respect a customer's basic consumer rights if one has a problem with a purchase. I was sold a faulty mobile in Fonez and promised a suitable redress on the phone yet when I went into the shop the "manager" was cold and very unwilling to help. Some may say it would be hard to describe the behaviour of a person as disgusting but her behaviour most definitely was, even though I dealt with the issue in a calm, dignified, and respectful way. Everything about that woman's body language, tone, and actions gave me the impression that she did not appreciate the €400 I had spent in the shop! Her name begins with an "N", if you have the misfortune of having to go into Fonez, try to avoid her for your sanity's sake. The staff of Fonez need a serious wake up call (excuse the pun). The shop is not presentable with an unorganised stand in the middle of the shop floor making it hard for the huge crowds gathered in Fonez to get from one side of the shop to the other. Also the phone covers (all trashy looking) are all out of their boxes and in disarray. I still am not over the shock of the customer service I got in Fonez! Just avoid it. a 0 star rating would be too good for them.
